History

In 1959, two brothers, John and Billy Buhl founded Buhl Electric, Inc. in their garage.  Thirteen years later, in 1972, Billy left to start his own company and John was left to run Buhl Electric.  At that point, Buhl had about 40 employees.

In 2001, John Buhl handed the controls of the company over to his son, John Buhl, Jr.  As company president, John, Jr. now controls a corporation of 250 employees.   Our newest branch, in Richmond, was opened in early 2008, extending our reach from Northern Virginia down into Central Virginia.
